The Zimbabwe Soccer Supporters Association is blaming administrators of the Zimbabwe Football Association for the defeat handed the Warriors in Blantyre last weekend by the underdog Malawi Flames in an Africa Cup Qualifier.
Supporters Association Vice President Eddie Mboma Nyatanga said his organization wrote to ZIFA expressing its displeasure at the 1-0 loss, blaming this on the Warriors' arrival one day before the game. He said association representatives would meet on Friday with Zimbabwean VIce President Joseph Msipa, the team's official patron.
Efforts to obtain comment from ZIFA were fruitless. Chairman Wellington Nyatanga said he was tied up with a board meeting and could not speak.
ZIFA critic Nyatanga told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahue that he wants ZIFA to make sure the Warriors are better prepared in future before such critical games.
