The Zimbabwe Football Association confirmed Wednesday that it has asked the government’s permission to set gate fees for soccer matches in U.S. dollars or other hard currencies for both local league play and international engagements.
ZIFA Chief Executive Henrietta Rushwaya told reporter, Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that the harsh economic climate including hyperinflation has boosted operating costs for teams and administrators, obliging the shift to forex fees.
