Zanu-PF Govt Won't Tolerate NGOs With Regime Change Agenda

Zanu-PF’s Deputy Director of Information, Pyschology Maziwisa, says the government will not tolerate organisations working tirelessly to reverse the will of the people of Zimbabwe.

Responding to statements made last week Friday by the Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) that it will soon challenge the Zanu-PF government to desist from viewing non-governmental organisations as enemies of the state, Maziwisa said his party will not be friendly to groups masquerading as NGOs that usually lobby for sanctions against the country.

Speaking at a function where the Zimbabwe Peace Project donated beds and various other items to an institute which is involved in the rehabilitation of young offenders, ZHRC commissioner Elasto Mugwadi said there was no need for the Zanu-PF government to be suspicious of organisations assisting the country in times of need.

Many non-governmental organisations have been raided by government agents after being accused of harbouring a regime change agenda.

Maziwisa added that all organizations respecting the will of Zimbabweans will be respected by President Robert Mugabe’s government.
