Members of Zimbabwe's Parliamentary Select Committee on Constitutional Revision met Thursday in Harare with European Union ambassadors to clear the air following recent misleading reports in state media suggesting Western donors were withholding funding of the reform process.
Sources said the ambassadors were unhappy at the reports from state-controlled newspapers such as the Herald and Sunday Mail that the EU had withdrawn its funding. Co-Chairman Douglas Mwonzora told reporter Jonga Kandemiiri that the ambassadors pledged continued support of the process.
