The late former President Robert Mugabe’s daughter, Bona Mugabe, has filed for divorce claiming that she has not been living with husband, Simbarashe Chikore, for almost a year.
According to an online publication, ZimLive, Bona filed the application on Tuesday.
The publication reports that in her filing, Bona informed the court that “the parties have lost all love and affection for each other and have been living apart for a period in excess of nine months.”
Attorneys for the couple were unreachable for comment.
Bona and Makore has a lavish marriage ceremony in 2014 when Mugabe was still the leader of the southern African nation. He died of cancer a year after he was toppled in a bloodless defacto military coup in 2017.
