Underdogs Caps FC of Harare staged an upset in this weekend’s CBZ Premier Soccer League action by defeating reigning champions Highlanders 3-1 on Saturday.
Highlanders was knocked out of its leading position in the league table to be replaced by Dynamos, who defeated low-ranked Black Rhinos 2-0.
But Dynamos coach David Mandigora warned fans against celebrating prematurely, telling reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that there remain 12 games to play before the league title is clinched.
Elsewhere, chaos broke out at a Caps United game on Sunday with fans urging coach Moses Chunga be sacked after the team drew 0-0 with Monomotapa.
Some fans noted that the past 10 games ended in draws, but players and the national soccer supporters association are still standing behind Chunga.
