Zimbabwe Soccer Fans Say New National Coach Should Get A Raise

Sunday's 1-0 victory by the Zimbabwean national soccer team, the Warriors, over its South African counterpart in an African Nations Championship qualifier has bolstered the standing of new Warriors coach Sunday Chidzambwa with fans who say he should get a raise.

Sports commentator Wellington Dangarembizi told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe the Zimbabwe Football Association should pay Chidzambwa on the same scale as if he had been recruited internationally, in order to retain him.

Chidzambwa, a former Warrior, replaced Brazilian coach Valinhos who was sacked recently by ZIFA after just 11 months of a five-year contract.
