Morale High Among Zimbabwe Warriors Despite Unpaid Player Allowances

Members of the Zimbabwean national soccer team playing in the Africa Nations Championship in Bouake, Ivory Coast, have not received their travel allowances, but midfielder Ovidy Karuru, who scored against Ghana on Monday, said player morale is high nonetheless.

Reports said the Zimbabwe Football Association was still looking for funds to cover the per diem payments for the football players.

Karuru, a midfielder who scored one of two goals scored Monday against Ghana for a 2-2 tie, spoke with reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe.
