Zimbabwe's Monomotapa Football Club Negotiates With Suspended Players

Zimbabwe's Monomotapa Football club was in negotiations late this week with some of the four players it suspended on Thursday for allegedly inciting other players to boycott training in the course of a dispute over unpaid bonuses.

Club Secretary David Makombe said players were paid a portion of the bonuses due to them for participation in the Confederation of African Football's Champions League competition following intervention by the Premier Soccer League.

Suspended goalkeeper Godfrey Mangove confirmed the partial payments in an interview with reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe.
