Former freedom fighter, Douglas Mahiya, has been granted $300 bail in a high profile case in which he is facing charges of undermining the authority of President Robert Mugabe after the Zimbabwe National Liberation War Veterans’ Association wrote a damning communique condemning the president for allegedly running down Zimbabwe.
At the same time, police arrested his colleague, Victor Matemadanda, who was called for questioning in Gokwe last week after the war veterans decided to dump the president.
