Langa brushed aside the allegations levelled against him saying what matters is that he is still loyal to his party.

Former Zanu-PF Matabeleland South chairman, Andrew Langa, says he is prepared to work with the new party leadership in his province, following a vote of no confidence passed on him before the party’s congress on allegations of working with ousted former vice-president Joyce Mujuru to unseat President Robert Mugabe.

Nine other Zanu-PF provincial chairpersons and eight cabinet ministers faced a similar fate.

The party says it has since halted suspensions pending guidelines from the commissariat, with the authority of the Politburo and Central Committee under the guidance of President Mugabe.

Langa, who is also the sports minister and Member of Parliament for Insiza North brushed aside the allegations levelled against him, saying what matters is that he is still loyal to his party, which he says emerged much stronger from the congress.
