About 20 Zimbabweans have been killed in a road traffic accident involving two buses along the Harare-Nyamapanda highway.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, which left a large number of people hospitalized.
According to our correspondent Arthur Chigoriwa, independent reports and the state-controlled Sunday Mail newspaper, the vehicles involved in the crash were a Zimbabwe United Passenger Company (ZUPCO) bus and another owned by a private company.
There was no official comment from the police, ZUPCO and other relevant officials.
Hundreds of Zimbabweans die on the country's roads each year described by some motorists as almost unusable due to their poor state. Some have blamed the accidents on other factors like human error and unroadworthy vehicles.
More than 100 people died before the end of the festive season from December 15, 2014, to January 15 this year.
