Chipo Chung stars as Mary Magadelene in a popular television series, A.D The Bible Continues.

Chipo Chung, who features as Mary Magadelene in a popular television series – A.D The Bible Continues -- currently being aired on NBC Television Network in USA and DSTV in Africa, says Zimbabweans living in the diaspora should work towards developing the country.

Chung, a daughter of former freedom fighter Fay Chung who once occupied some cabinet posts in President Robert Mugabe’s government, believes that Zimbabweans living in various nations will develop some deep love for the country if they maintain strong ties with people back home.

In an exclusive interview with Studio 7, Chung said acting on television has made her a global citizen though she still remains a Zimbabwean.

The A. D. The Bible Continues series, which was voted the most-watched cable mini-series of 2013, traces the beginning of Christianity and the trials and tribulations of Jesus Christ and his disciples.

The series, produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, was shot in the desert and rocky terrain of Morocco.
