More problems cropped up this week as Zimbabwe's constitutional revision outreach process geared up again following a one-week break as more than 40 outreach team members were refused access to hotel rooms in Orange Grove and Chinhoyi Caves in Mashonaland West province because organizers had not pre-paid accommodation.

Parliamentary Select Committee Co-Chairman Douglas Mwonzora said the incident resulted from a misunderstanding between the United Nations Development Program, which is funding the exercise, and the hotels concerned.

He told VOA Studio 7 reporter Jonga Kandemiiri efforts were being made to settle the dispute.

Elsewhere, the Movement for Democratic Change formation led by Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai said ZANU-PF supporters on Monday disrupted an outreach meeting at the Kaziro business center in Shamva North constituency, Mashonaland Central. MDC Mashonaland Central Chairman Godfrey Chimombe said ZANU-PF supporters became rowdy after MDC Chairwoman Martha Muronzi submitted a written comment to the outreach team during the meeting.

Mashonaland Central Outreach team leader and ZANU-PF lawmaker Edward Chindori-Chininga confirmed the disturbances but denied that supporters of his party had caused them.
