VP Mnangagwa: Zanu PF to Punish Whites With Regime Change Agenda

Zimbabwe Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa says President Robert Mugabe’s ruling party and government will severely punish white people who have a regime change agenda.

Speaking at Ngoni Stadium in Norton, north-west of Harare, on Thursday where he was campaigning for a party candidate contesting a local parliamentary by-election, Mnangagwa said Zimbabwe will never be a colony again and any returning white person who will cause friction in the country will be killed.

He thanked members of the Zanu PF Youth League for having the zest that once gripped veteran politicians noting that they are ready to fight opponents to the bitter end.

At the same time, Mnangagwa urged people in Norton to vote peacefully in the by-election, pitting former Zanu PF provincial chairperson for Mashonaland West, Themba Mliswa, with Zanu PF’s Ronald Chindedza and National Constitutional Assembly candidate, David Choga.

Zanu PF political commissar Savior Kasukuwere also mocked the Movement for Democratic Change led by Morgan Tsvangirai of being a party of cowards who are afraid of elections but are supporting independent candidate Mliswa.

There have been skirmishes between Zanu PF activists and supporters of independent candidate Mliswa.
