Several Zimbabweans in Washington DC came together Friday outside the Embassy of Zimbabwe, to protest against the crackdown on fellow citizens in the country by soldiers and police, as well as the overall economic hardships.
Marvelous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Zimbabwe Service has been nominated for the Media Personality of the Year award run by the Zimbabwe Achievers Award (ZAA) USA organisation. The winner is picked by the community which votes online. ZAA honors Zimbabweans in the USA excelling in their fields.
While the ruling Zanu-PF party celebrated its court victory, the opposition MDC Alliance which lodged the formal challenge to President Mnangagwa’s July 30th election victory, alleging that the election was rigged, was not.
