Some Zimbabweans have suffered to the extent that they now believe that colonial ruler Ian Douglas Smith was far much better than the current ruling Zanu PF party led by President Robert Mugabe.
In his response, President Mugabe appeared to be giving the war veterans the right to grab more white-owned commercial farms.
This appears to be targeted at senior party officials like Saviour Kasukuwere, who is the current Zanu PF political commissar, Professor Jonathan Moyo and several others.
A victim of political violence, Bamine Musekiwa, said there won’t be any national healing as long as Zanu PF is still in power.
“I do not fully agree with the idea of closure of companies on April 1 2016. I would advise the Minister of Indigenisation Patrick Zhuwawo to use a different approach given the situation we are in … of high unemployment."

But others say the restrictive measures are not having any impact on the president and his colleagues.
“These are very sellable people as soon as you train them and you do not pay them properly they go."
"We tried engaging them but they do not want to listen to us and our needs. Until they give us all our dues, we are here to stay."
“I doubt very much that the war vets will listen to (President) Mugabe and what he says. The time has gone now in Zanu PF when (Mr.) Mugabe's word was like a Bible."
Some of the war veterans were reportedly injured in the running battles with the police. Police could not be drawn to comment on the issue.
This comes at a time President Mugabe held a meeting with an American delegation in Harare on Tuesday in which he expressed dismay over the restrictive measures.
Pradeep Maharaj said the South African Authorities are still working closely with the relevant authorities in Zimbabwe to have the cargo released.

Wisdom Mgagara, says Mr. Mugabe was one of the most ineffective African Union chairperson as political and armed conflicts gripped the continent during his tenure of office.
ZEC is quoted in the Sunday Mail newspaper as saying they are exploring ways of using the system in the 2018 harmonized general elections.
