Zimbabwe's Brighton Munjoma, one of the people who traded bards with pro-Mugabe December 12 Movement in New York during protests at the United Nations General Assembly, says he will continue to protest against Mr. Mugabe until he steps down. He speaks to Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye.
Tourism Minister Walter Mzembi's wife, Mrs. Barbara Mzembi, says her organisation is more than just a beauty pageant. It identifies women who can carry the country's brand with dignity. She tells Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye her organisation provides some rural girls with sanitary towels.
Tourism Minister, Dr. Walter Mzembi, says he has informed President Robert Mugabe of his intention to leave his ministerial post if he secures the post of secretary general of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
The president said the western nations are punishing his country for possessing a lot of mineral wealth, which they want to exploit for their own benefit.
Mr. Mugabe made these remarks today at the United Nations General Assembly at a time when protesters inside and outside the country are demanding that he should step down.
Critics say the 92-year-old Zimbabwean leader is likely to attack the West for maintaining targeted sanctions on him, his wife, Grace, and some top Zanu PF officials for alleged human rights violations.
"... This hegemonic military doctrine and adventurism fueled by a desire to achieve the narrow interest of a powerful few is at the root of the proliferation of armed conflicts which has spawned so many refugees today.”
According to his personal assistant, Dr. Darlington Muzeza, Mzembi is set to share his thoughts on various issues in a panel titled ‘Developing Tourism Industry’.
