KGVI Barracks Renamed Josiah Magama Tongogara Barracks
King George VI Barracks was on Wednesday renamed Josiah Magama Tongogara Barracks. Tongogara was the commander of the Zanla forces during the 1970s liberation war. KGVI, built in 1972, was named after Afred Fredricks George, former king of the United Kingdom and first commander of Rhodesian forces.
